On this episode of the Classic Rock Jukebox, we got out our road maps and took a little trip to some real and fictitious geographical locations including Hotel California, Rockaway Beach, and Tenth Avenue. Plus, since it was the last show of the spring semester, I added in a small dose of summer songs. I also included a really great tribute to Prince, featuring songs picked by YOU! Please listen and enjoy!
On this episode of the Classic Rock Jukebox, I played the legendary Beatles album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” as the next monthly vinyl pick, just coming up on the 50th anniversary. Features great music, stories, and more. Plus, a J. Geils House party to honor the passing of guitarist J. Gels. Listen and enjoy!
On this episode of the Classic Rock Jukebox, it was all about the music as we honored this year’s inductees to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame including ELO, Joan Baez, Yes, Journey, 2Pac, Pearl Jam,and Nile Rodgers. I tried to play a few songs per group/artist and includes some live performances from the event and a speech. Please listen and enjoy as this is one of my favorite shows to do and used to be a yearly tradition.
On this episode of the Classic Rock Jukebox, since May is upon us I
thought it might be fun to do songs about rain based on the recent
weather. Features your favorites from Clapton to Prince and Dylan. Also,
baseball is back across the country so we featured a rock block of some
cool songs. Have a listen and enjoy!
On this episode of the Classic Rock Jukebox, I played the next album up in the monthly installment of the “take a walk on the vinyl side “segment. I thought it would be really cool to play and re-visit this iconic album, celebrating 44 years. I also looked at a bunch of other great Pink Floyd tunes, rare tracks, and live performances to celebrate the upcoming release of Pink Floyd: The Early Years 1965-1972 as individual volumes.
Note: Due to a technical issue at the radio station/studio, I actually had to re-record the episode from home. While it’s not the standard quality, it’s not bad and still enjoyable! I just wanted you to get a show and enjoy it.
On this episode of the Classic Rock Jukebox, the show returned to our
classic rock/hard rock roots by playing just a bunch of great tunes. I
also remembered the legendary Chuck Berry throughout the show. Listen
On this episode of the Classic Rock Jukebox, I played tracks from the latest Monkees album “Good Times!” I helped to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the group (technically 51st now) and remembered the late Davy Jones on the 5th anniversary of his passing. I also featured a block of space songs dedicated to the discovery of the new exoplanets.
